This website mediocre at best. My first book arrived quickly but clearly has something spilt on it which caused water damage thoroughout the first 100 pages. I wouldnt call the "new" condition. The others now say they wont get here till October which is half way through my course so thats totally useless also.

This place is the worst place to buy a book, maybe it is good for those people who want to sell. Books arrive damaged and the return fees + the initial shipping will pay a new book. Terrible, I will NEVER use it again.

I'm a deeply involved private genealogist here in the USA. I used Abebooks to locate a difficult to find book called The Web of Fortune. It was found, the price was reasonable, I bought it, it was delivered from England to the US in a timely manner. Arrived in the condition described. I had no problems and will use Abe's again.

I have bought quite a few used books from abebooks and have never had a problem. I have never had to return a book, so I don't know how that would work. The books have arrived by the time specified and in the condition specified by the seller. I only buy copies rated good or very good. I also choose a copy from a seller that has a 4-5 star rating on the site.

IT. Non esiste negozio online più professionale per quanto concerne i libri, ed i prezzi sono quasi sempre imbattibili. Certo, la spedizione è lunga, ma sinceramente con quello che offrono non ne farei un cruccio. Ulteriori cose che apprezzo molto sono le descrizioni dettagliate dei prodotti usati, la possibilità di visionare le recensioni dei singoli negozi, l'interfaccia grafica pulita e l'assistenza clienti perfetta. Kudos per Abebooks, mai avuto problemi con loro. E se ne ho avuti, li hanno risolti in un soffio. Ampiamente soddisfatto.

EN. There's no such thing as a better online marketplace concerning books, and the prices are, more often than not, unbeatable. Sure, the shipping takes a bit of time, but to be frank you should expect at least that considering what they offer. More things I appreciate are the detailed descriptions of used copies, the possibility to check the reviews of each and every reseller, the clean GUI and the brilliant customer support. Kudos to Abebooks, I've never had a issue with them. And if I did have them, they solved the matter instantly. Overwhelmingly satisfied.

Disgusting service. None of there customer service team have any idea what's going on. I've been trying to sell some collectibles on the site and the sign up process is a never ending loop of questions which you have to do 20 times because the Muppets at customer service keep loosing your details or quit. Your details can t be very secure with this level of customer care. If you're a seller don't go here. Buyer beware lots of scams on the site too. If I could give it less than 1 I would

Cancelled order, but shows the book I ordered at a higher price on their website.
They also informed me that they credited my account, but my account only shows a charge. I disputed the charge.
Not a reputable business.

You think you're helping bookstores but you're not. Avoid this site. It's just another Amazon-owned business helping people sell you garbage.
